Abstract: Objectives: Diet is a foundational component of secondary cardiovascular disease prevention and may influence adipokines. Our aim was to investigate associations between anthropometrics and diet with circulating adipokines among patients after a recent myocardial infarction (MI). We hypothesized that excess adiposity and unbalanced nutrient intake would be associated with higher levels of proinflammatory adipokines.
