Abstract: Gas-discharge plasma generated between a metal cathode and a liquid non-metallic anode at atmospheric pressure has been studied. The discharge is ignited by immersing the metal electrode in the electrolyte. The types and shapes of plasma structures generated in the interelectrode gap and their electrical parameters are considered. The results of thermographic analysis of the electrode surface under discharge conditions are presented. Using emission spectroscopy, the plasma composition, electron concentration and temperature of the heavy component were studied.
