Abstract: line of defense in periodontal therapy, which is effective in reducing gingival inflammation, and the number and depth of periodontal pockets.However, it can be challenging to use periodontal instruments on locations with deep periodontal pockets, concavities, grooves, intrabony defects (IBD), and furcation defects.Therefore, periodontopathic bacteria might still be present there.7 A range of treatment medications have been tried and tested, slowing the advancement of the periodontal inflammatory process and aiding in the regeneration of lost periodontal tissues.
