Abstract: The article reflects the issues of correctly determining the psychological basis for the formation of ideological and political education of students in extracurricular activities of universities. The article reflects the general system of psychological bases that serve to form the ideological and political education of students. The article puts forward scientific ideas related to hearing, perceiving, remembering the real truths about ideological and political education, filtering them through imagination and thinking and substantiating them in ideological and political content through speech. The article also provides information about the psychological properties of perception, such as stability, completeness, selectivity, objectivity, apperception (based on previous human experience), meaning.
