Evaluasi Tingkat Pemahaman Konsep Siswa pada Materi Komponen Ekosistem dan Interaksi Antar Komponen Kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Bayan Kabupaten Lombok Utara

Abstract: Conceptual understanding is the ability to understand concepts, which includes the ability to capture various types of understanding, including expressing information in another form that can be understood, providing interpretation, and classifying it. This research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The purpose of this research is to describe the level of concept understanding of class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Bayan in the 2023/2024 academic year on ecosystem components and interactions between components with a total of 40 students. Data were collected through an essay-shaped test totaling seven items based on indicators of concept understanding. The data were analyzed descriptively by determining the level of understanding of students' concepts in the form of percentages so that the condition of understanding the concepts of the research subjects could be clearly described. Based on the data obtained, the level of understanding of student concepts has a mean of 55.33 with a moderate category. Furthermore, the highest percentage of concept understanding is the medium category of 70% consisting of 28 students, 8 students obtained the high category with a percentage of 20%. The lowest acquisition is the very high and low categories of 5% each with a frequency of 2 students each. Based on the concept understanding indicators, the highest indicator is classifying with a mean of 71.78, while the conclusion indicator is the lowest with a mean of 40.53. This finding concludes that the concept understanding of SMA Negeri 2 Bayan students is low.
