Abstract: The 2nd International Conference on Software Engineering and Machine Learning (CONF-SEML 2024) is an annual conference focusing on research areas including software engineering and machine learning. It aims to establish a broad and interdisciplinary platform for experts, researchers, and students worldwide to present, exchange, and discuss the latest advance and development in software engineering and machine learning. This volume contains the papers of the 2nd International Conference on Software Engineering and Machine Learning (CONF-SEML 2024). Each of these papers has gained a comprehensive review by the editorial team and professional reviewers. Each paper has been examined and evaluated for its theme, structure, method, content, language, and format. Cooperating with prestigious universities, CONF-SEML 2024 organized five workshops in Portsmouth, Chicago, Beijing, Abudhabi and Macau. Dr. Stavros Shiaeles chaired the workshop “Detecting Botnets Using Machine Learning” at University of Portsmouth. Dr. Marwan Omar chaired the workshop “Modeling Software Architecture” at Illinois Institute of Technology. Dr. Xinqing Xiao chaired the workshop “AI based Intelligent Sensing and Applications” at China Agricultural University. Professor Jamal Al Karaki chaired the workshop “Innovating with IoT: Inspiring Ideas and Applications for a Connected World” at Zayed University. Dr. Jinyu Tian chaired the workshop “Urban Intelligence: Machine Learning in Smart City Solutions” at Macau University of Science and Technology. Besides these workshops, CONF-SEML 2024 also held an online session. Eminent professors from top universities worldwide were invited to deliver keynote speeches in this online session, including Dr. Stavros Shiaeles from University of Portsmouth, Prof. Jamal Al-Karaki from Zayed University, etc. They have given keynote speeches on related topics of software engineering and machine learning. On behalf of the committee, we would like to give sincere gratitude to all authors and speakers who have made their contributions to CONF-SEML 2024, editors and reviewers who have guaranteed the quality of papers with their expertise, and the committee members who have devoted themselves to the success of CONF-SEML 2024.
