Abstract: English summary Treatment of serious root caries using adhesive techniques Nor Tannlegeforen Tid. 2024; 134: 612-6. The proportion of exposed root surfaces increases with age. A greater number of elderly people retain more teeth. It is likely that this will increase the incidence of exposed root surfaces and the risk of root caries. It is particularly critical if root caries occurs combined with major prosthetic reconstructions. In the worst case, it may lead to the collapse of the entire set of teeth. Adhesive materials are part of the toolbox to prevent the development of damage due to root caries.
