Abstract: The growing popularity of the plain language movement in Poland has resulted in a number of publications devoted to the subject. They approach plain language from different perspectives; they also differ in character. In this paper, I present a list of publications devoted to plain language and a proposal for their classification. I have also applied statistical analysis to this collection. Owing to these procedures, I was able to determine the current research findings, as well as to identify areas that require further exploration. In this paper, I also put forward a proposal for a new layout of the repository of the University of Warsaw Laboratory for Effective Communication, which may become helpful both in research on plain language and in plain language didactics.
