Abstract: Empirical research indicates that several factors influence the amount of cash that companies keep. The primary objective of this conceptual paper is to examine the impact of financial leverage and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives on the cash reserves of Islamic banks in Iraq. A systematic examination of the existing literature resulted in the creation of the conceptual framework. The present study established the notable impact of the examined parameters on financial reserves. Furthermore, this study provided valuable information on how financial leverage and CSR initiatives impact the cash reserves of Islamic banks in Iraq. This research highlights the need of adding to the existing knowledge on the factors that influence cash holdings. The findings might be valuable to financial management consultants, investors, and managers. The agency theory and the trade-off theory provided support for the conceptual framework. Additionally, this conceptual paradigm's implications for theory and practice are examined.
