« À mains raccourcies » ou l’histoire de l’hémochromatose

Abstract: The author proposes here to take stock of the history of hemochromatosis, one of the most important diseases of genetic origin today. Based on recent examples and the study of two personal cases, the historical analysis of hemochromatosis makes it possible to specify the date of appearance of this anomaly and to specify its osteoarticular impact, particularly palmar, a key recognition index in osteo-archaeology and palaeogenetics.
