Ammonia Energy: A Call for Environmental Awareness
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Ammonia (NH3) is emerging as a promising low-carbon fuel and hydrogen carrier in the quest to reduce carbon emissions and combat climate change. However, in our recent study, we reveal that using ammonia in the energy sector poses significant environmental risks, including the release of nitrogen-based pollutants and potent greenhouse gases. Our research underscores the importance of proactive engineering solutions to mitigate these impacts effectively.
