Year: 2024
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: This study explores the experiences of patients with heart failure with providers in Saudi Arabia. Most participants were men (64.8%) and 45 to 74 years old (68%). The overall mean score of patient experience was 82.81 ± 18.46, with the highest domain being the overall rating of providers at 89.36 ± 19.42. Nurse practitioners were rated higher than physicians across both sites and within each site. The difference in the ratings between nurse practitioners across the 2 sites was not significant. The study findings highlight the importance of adopting the nurse practitioner role in integrated patient-centered health care teams.
