Abstract: This study aims to elucidate the module measurement of ancient architecture around Fujian Province and Guangdong Province based on the difference in eaves frame construction methods. The research reveals that the proportions of the “Cai”(dimension of bracket arms) exhibit unique characteristics specific to the Fujian and Guangdong regions, differing from those documented in Yingzao Fashi and the Huabei region. Consequently, these findings suggest that the proportions of the “Cai” in the Daibutsu-yo architecture were unlikely to have been influenced by the architecture of the Fujian and Guangdong regions.
