Abstract: Lupus nephritis is a major cause of mortality and morbidity in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Early diagnosis and treatment are important, as early response to therapy is correlated with better prognosis and quality of life. Here, we report a case of 24-year-old male with SLE along with lupus nephritis. The patient was given 3 cycles of rituximab 1 gm 6 months apart following which the patient went into remission. Thus, Rituximab has been found to be an effective therapeutic modality to induce remission in SLE with Lupus Nephritis and also avoids the potential toxicity associated with standard immunosuppressive agents. Nail fold capillaroscopy (NFC) and trichoscopy were done which helped in the diagnosis of the disease.
