Current State and Prospects for the Introduction of Digital Technologies in the Activities of Prosecutors

Abstract: The article analyzes the current state and prospects for the introduction of digital technologies into the activities of the prosecutor’s office. The main trends and challenges facing the prosecutor’s office in the field of digitalization are shown, the role of digital technologies in law enforcement is also explored, their impact on the effectiveness of prosecutors and interaction with other government agencies. The degree of legal regulation of the activities of the prosecutor’s office using digital technologies is assessed. The issues of security and protection of personal data in the context of the use of digital tools are also touched upon and the existing digital elements in the activities of the prosecutor’s office are analyzed. Examples of successful implementation of a number of existing information systems in the activities of the prosecutor’s offices of the subjects of the Russian Federation are given and foreign experience in this direction is evaluated.
