Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Objective of the study is to analyze the problems related to migration and adaptation of migrants to the linguistic and cultural environment of the host territory. Particular attention should be paid to migrant families, a significant part of which represents the so-called “irrevocable migration”. The methodological basis. To analyze and design a management system for the process of adaptation of migrant families to the cultural and linguistic environment of the host country, information and communication, subject-personal, interactionist, behaviorist methodological approaches, cultural techniques, as well as the method of “participant observation” were used. Results of the study. The demographic situation in modern Russia is such that immigration is an objective reality. This requires targeted management of migration flows in order to avoid negative consequences in the form of aggravation of social relations between migrants and the population of the host territory. A specific object of management is adaptation to the new cultural and linguistic environment of migrant families settling on a long-term basis in the host country, especially children from these families. Most migrants come to Russia from the former Soviet republics of Central Asia, where the dominant religion is Islam. However, the ideas of radical Islam and “historical myths” of nationalistic coloring, which migrants bring with them, have become widespread here. These ideas, aimed at the youth environment, have a negative impact on interethnic relations, which determines the need for careful work with young people from migrant families. Research рerspectives. This article can help in making the right decisions and programs for the adaptation of migrant families to the social environment of the host society.
