Abstract: The title compound, [Ir(C 15 H 10 N) 2 (C 19 H 12 N 4 )]PF 6 ·CH 3 OH, crystallizes in the C 2/ c space group with one monocationic iridium complex, one hexafluoridophosphate anion, and one methanol solvent molecule of crystallization in the asymmetric unit, all in general positions. The anion and solvent are linked to the iridium complex cation via hydrogen bonding. All bond lengths and angles fall into expected ranges compared to similar compounds.
