Abstract: Prep for your event with a guest-list triage. “Go through your guest list ahead of time and prioritize it,” suggests Gail Perry, president at Gail Perry Group (Chapel Hill, NC). “Whom should certain guests meet? What conversations should happen at the event? Which guests should not leave before speaking to a certain staff member?” Divide your list into groups and assign staff or volunteers to ensure the appropriate introductions are made. This allows you to maximize the event time for networking and donor cultivation.
