EP09.114: Prenatal ultrasound diagnosis and prognosis analysis of fetal left heart dysplasia syndrome

Year: 2024
Type: conference-abstract
Abstract: To investigate the prenatal ultrasound characteristics of fetal left heart dysplasia syndrome (HLHS) and analyse the pregnancy outcome. Prenatal ultrasound data and clinical data of 37 fetal HLHS were retrospectively analysed and pregnancy outcomes were tracked. In fetal HLHS 37,11,16 and 10.9 cases (9/37, 24.3%) were detected in early pregnancy, 27 cases (27/37, 73.0%) in middle pregnancy, and 1 case (1/37, 2.7%) in late pregnancy. HLHS ultrasound mainly showed small left ventricle, limited or no opening and closing movement of mitral and aortic valves, and small aortic artery with reverse blood flow in the aortic arch. Higher fetal HLHS (8/12, 58.3%) than those without. Systemic edema with cervical hydrotumour is more common in fetal HLHS with abnormalities, and Turner syndrome is more common in chromosomal abnormalities. 34 terminated the pregnancy, one died intrauterine, one died in the neonatal period, and one died 7 days after surgery in the neonatal period. The prenatal ultrasound of fetal HLHS has characteristic changes, and screening for HLHS is feasible. Poor pregnancy outcomes in HLHS, and accurate ultrasound assessment is important for prenatal consultation and decision-making.
