Year: 2024
Type: conference-abstract
Abstract: This study was conducted with the aim of investigating the pulsatility index of the uterine artery in pregnant women with spontaneous preterm labour. This study was a descriptive analytical study in which the statistical population was all pregnant women with spontaneous preterm labour at third trimester admitted to the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department of Imam Khomeini Hospital in Ahvaz. Data (age, BMI, gestational age at admission, gestational age at delivery, birthweight, smoking, history of pre-eclampsia) were collected and analysed using a checklist. According to the results of the present study, 200 pregnant women were investigated, the average age of the mothers was 30 years, and the average RT uterine PI was 0.87, the average LT uterine PI was 1.02. According to the results obtained from the present study, Pearson correlation coefficient between uterine artery PI and. spontaneous preterm labour was 0/105 and P 0/140. There is significant relationship between Pulsatility index of the uterine artery and spontaneous premature birth.
