Abstract: While originally used for military purposes, drones now boast diverse capabilities and usages.They can be very powerful interactive learning tools for students at any level.Drones can help teach a wide range of concepts and lessons that otherwise might be difficult for students to understand.Most drones are easy to learn to fly, and many are inexpensive, making them accessible to everyone.Teaching with drones holds many possibilities, from introducing kids to piloting or coding basics to exploring drone uses and careers.Drones are excellent complementary tools for STEM education.From coding to critical thinking, drones are perhaps the best option schools have at their disposal for break-through STEM learning.This paper explores the various applications of drones in education.
