Abstract: We find out the concept authenticity and its formation in the course «Theories and technologies of personality development». In the process of studying of given course students get known nature of personality in the modern theories, main components of the personality. The article gives personality models by A. Maslow, Z. Freud, K. Rodgers. The differentiation of the given concepts allow student to formulate their attitude to towards to the introduced theories. It also helps students realize themselves. Interiorizing the concept of authenticity, students consider their behavior and behavior of the surrounding people differently. All this components contribute to self-knowledge and personality development.
