Abstract: In the context of the global transformation of social life and the increase in systemic violence against sovereign states, the role of understanding the dialectic of peace and war is increasing. The categories “peace” and “war” are considered. The ways to achieve peace are shown based on Kant’s work “Towards Eternal Peace”. The current state of international relations is characterized as world war relations. In the interests of ensuring national security, it is necessary to understand the ladder of escalation of a military conflict, as well as to know the basics of the General theory of war by A.I. Vladimirov. In the geopolitical struggle, raising philosophical culture to achieve worldview sovereignty is of particular importance.
