Abstract: The 2024 2nd International Conference on Chemical, Energy Science and Environmental Engineering (CESEE 2024) was successfully held in Rome, Italy during June 21-23, 2024. This conference aimed to provide an attractive platform for academics, scientists, researchers, experts to express and discuss their interests in chemical, energy and environmental engineering. More than 40 participants from 19 countries attended the conference, which together constitute a diversified and energetic international academic atmosphere. The conference invited three renowned speakers to share their latest research, to include Prof. Jan Baeyens from the Beijing University of Chemical Technology, China and KU Leuven, Belgium; Prof. Martin Schiemann from Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany and Prof. Soufiane Haddout from Ibn Tofail University, Morocco. Each speaker has delivered a 40-minute keynote. The conference also had 2 technical oral sessions and 1 poster session. CESEE 2024 became an effective communication platform for all the participants who took the opportunity to share their research results and discuss potential scientific and engineering developments from their work. This contributed to the success of the conference. All papers in the proceedings have passed the vigorous peer-review process by the technical program committee and professional reviewers. The variety of research topics presented at the conference and their novelty exhibited in the papers as published in the proceedings demonstrated the impact of CESEE 2024. We would like to acknowledge all of those who supported CESEE 2024. Each individual and institutional help was very important for the success of this conference. Especially we would like to thank the committee chairs, committee members and reviewers, for their tremendous contribution in the conference organization and peer reviews of the papers. Without such support the conference cannot maintain quality or add real original contributions to knowledge We believe that CESEE 2024 was a forum for excellent discussions that put forward new ideas, promote collaborative research, and support researchers as they take their work forward. We are sure that the proceedings will serve as an important research source of references and knowledge, which will lead to not only scientific and engineering progress but also to novel products and processes.
