Abstract: The book "From shadows to colors: The lexicalization of words from the LGBT Movement," by Jonathan Ribeiro Farias de Moura, presents a narrative from within the linguistic knowledge about the history of the LGBT movement in Brazil. The author provides analyses grounded in French Discourse Analysis while examining the Aurélia dictionary, linking ideology and interpretation to discursive events. Moura also introduces the concepts of entry-making, homosexual subject-position, homosexual author function, and delves into issues of sexuality and gender identity in the field of linguistics. The book aims to highlight the difference between making entries and dictionary entries, emphasizing that language is also pajubá. Language is resistance by giving visibility, voice, and memory.
