Abstract: The article reveals the role of the concept of globalism in the theory of knowledge and the system of international relations, substantiates the fundamental differences between global processes and civilizational ones. An attempt is made to trace the process of the origin and development of civilizational ideas and the practice of their embodiment in real forms. Special attention is paid to the historical and legal sanctification of civilizational processes and the consequences of globalization. The author’s position is stated on all debatable issues.
