"The Role of Sleep Disorders in the Development and Maintenance of Anxiety Disorders: A Transdiagnostic Approach"
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Anxiety disorders and sleep issues often occur together, making a person's life much more difficult. This study uses a transdiagnostic approach to investigate the complex interplay between sleep disturbances and anxiety disorders. We hope to shed light on the processes by which sleep disruptions contribute to the onset and maintenance of anxiety disorders across diagnostic categories by investigating the two-way nature of these illnesses. Our comprehensive literature review, rigorous methodology, and in-depth analysis of results provide insights into the shared neurobiological pathways, cognitive processes, and behavioral patterns that link sleep and anxiety disorders. The findings of this study have important implications for the development of integrated treatment approaches and preventive strategies targeting both sleep and anxiety symptoms.
