Abstract: Background: Mobility is affected by neurological and physiological changes as humans age. Gait changes are a significant concern because they lead to falls, disability, and loss of independence. Changes in gait patterns may also be an early indicator of cognitive decline. Most clinical assessments of gait involve large pressure-sensitive walkways which are highly accurate but expensive and require dedicated space.
