“Green” finance: on the issue of the concept

Abstract: This article analyzes and compares doctrinal definitions of the concept of “green finance”, as well as related categories. The author proposes to distinguish between private law and public law approaches to defining the category under consideration. It is determined that from the perspective of a public law approach, “green” finance should be understood as social relations arising in the process of accumulation, distribution (redistribution) and use of funds from state and municipal centralized and decentralized funds of funds aimed at financial support for environmental protection, as well as the implementation of financial control in this area.
