A few reflections on positive body image and body neutrality (aided by Tom Cash’s model)

Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The paper offers a commentary on the distinction between positive body image and body neutrality by applying Cash's cognitive-behavioral perspective. In particular, the two dimensions of valence and importance are used to position the body image constructs. It is concluded that positive body image and body neutrality are much more similar than different.
