Abstract: Tunneling electrons into fractional quantum Hall states is a potential probe for the fractionalization process. Here, the authors explore this process using composite fermion theory. They demonstrate how the long-range interaction dresses and shapes the electron spectral function to evolve from gapped sharp peaks to a possibly gapped continuum as the filling factor approaches compressible values.
