The Role of the Simulation Center in Conducting and Preparing for the Olympiads in Surgical Specialties Among Residents

Abstract: The simulation center plays an important role in training medical personnel. The All-Russian Interdisciplinary Olympiad among residents has been held for two years at the A.V. Vishnevsky National Medical Research Center of Surgery. Pros: immersion in the specialty, working through surgical interventions, improving hand motor skills, communication between educational institutions. Cons: high workload for students, high costs for preparing competitions. Organizing and holding Olympiads in a simulation center is a progressive stage in training medical personnel in surgical specialties.
