Abstract: The article examines the increasing doubts in the United States and Europe regarding the continued support for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia. It highlights varying perspectives among American experts on the strategic direction of the war, with some advocating for a long-term strategy of containment against Russia by sustaining military aid to Ukraine, despite uncertain outcomes. Others argue for a reassessment of Ukraine's war goals, emphasizing the need for defensive strategies and potential negotiations. The article also discusses the obstacles to diplomacy and the conditions under which a ceasefire might be achievable. Overall, it underscores the necessity of re-evaluating current strategies in light of both domestic and international challenges.
