Cyber weapons: concept, its manifestations and countermeasures

Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis of the concept of “cyber weapons”. Modern approaches to its definition are highlighted, its signs and types are defined. The range of criminal purposes for the use of cyber weapons has been established. It is noted that cyber weapons have become a serious means of informational influence in cyberspace as a new theater of military operations. Foreign and domestic approaches to defining cyberspace are analyzed. Proposals were made to counter the use of cyber weapons in national cyberspace. Attention is drawn to the need to implement legislative initiatives in the field of combating cyberattacks.
