Abstract: This article analyzes the importance of teaching general piano science in music and art higher education institutions, its role in the formation of students' musical thinking and performance skills. General piano lessons help students develop musical knowledge, technical skills, and creative abilities. Also, the article considers the place of piano science in the curriculum, effective methods used in the educational process, and important aspects of organizing lesson processes. Through this subject, students not only develop their creative potential, but also acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for successful work as a professional musician in the future.
