Research on the Development of Low Carbon Economy from the Perspective of Industrial Structure Adjustment

Abstract: Anhui Province is currently in the late stage of industrialization, and economic transformation is urgent. To promote the upgrading of industrial structure and the development of green and low-carbon economy in Anhui Province, it is necessary to truly achieve the healthy and sustainable development of Anhui's economy. This study will first conduct theoretical analysis on the relationship between low-carbon economy and industrial structure, then describe and analyze the current situation of low-carbon economy and industrial structure in Anhui Province, and conduct empirical research on the development relationship between low-carbon economy and industrial structure in Anhui Province. Select two indicators of energy intensity (the ratio of gross domestic product to total energy consumption) and industrial structure upgrading degree (the ratio of value-added in the tertiary industry to value-added in the secondary industry) in Anhui Province from 2012 to 2022, and use cointegration and error correction models for empirical testing.
