Abstract: Work holding devices are critical for enhancing manufacturing quality and productivity.Dedicated fixtures, the most advanced form of work holding, distribute their workload across the jobs they generate over their lifespan.Nevertheless, the cost and delay time are difficult to justify in batch production.Technological advancements such as CAD, CAM, group technology, and computer-aided process planning enhance the flexibility of batch production systems.The Universal Tooling System, a sophisticated work holding method, rapidly assembles reusable components to meet a variety of job requirements.This project's goal is to develop a universal tooling system for CNC machining centers using Siemens' Solid Edge V19 CAD software.
