Descriptive analysis of professional societies in travel and tropical medicine

Abstract: An internet-based search identified 59 national and regional travel and tropical medicine societies across 193 UN member states. The analysis revealed diverse educational activities, with 61% hosting conferences and 32% publishing journals. Findings underscore the potential for ISTM to enhance global collaboration and support in travel medicine education.
