A case study on neurotic anxiety: A new application of free association

Abstract: This article primarily focuses on the analysis of a subject exhibiting neurotic anxiety, interpreting the client’s clinical symptoms, underlying causes, and self-intervention methods. Subsequently, the article introduces the 'fictionalized' free association technique and utilizes it to analyze the client's unconscious conflicts and motivations. It is hoped that this article will contribute to the ongoing development of free association within the field of psychoanalysis.
