Abstract: Two-dimensional N-doped reduced graphene oxide (NGO) has received much attention in supercapacitors applications because of its excellent conductivity and large surface area. Bi 2 O 3 (BO) have a unique advantage as an electrode material because of its high porosity level, substantial surface area, and improved electrochemical characteristics. One of the simplest sonication processes was used to synthesize composite of Al-La co-doped Bi 2 O 3 with N-doped reduced graphene oxide (AL-BO/NGO). X-ray diffraction (XRD) results verified the phase purity of prepared samples. Electrochemical studies showed that AL-BO/NGO demonstrated a high specific capacitance (Csp) of 955F/g compared to BO and AL-BO. AL-BO/NGO showed lower equivalence series resistance (ESR) compared to its counter parts. The higher level of electrochemical activity of AL-BO/NGO is primarily due to large surface area, improved electrical conductivity and exceptional rate capability of NGO, multiple oxidation states of BO and improved surface area of AL-BO.
