Abstract: Lobster shell derivatives have the potential to be a valuable resource for sustainable development and innovation. This article outlines the methods and research advancements for isolating minerals and chitosan from lobster shells and converting them into functional materials. The different types of methods of extraction of major components are discussed in detail Additionally, it discusses their applications in diverse fields. This article gives a comprehensive summary of the present state of research in this field. Also, it presents a future research outlook, highlighting areas for further investigation and advancements in the field.
