Exploring Digital Media Literacy: A Case Study of Elderly Deaf Users in Slovenia

Abstract: This study explores digital media literacy and usage patterns among elderly deaf individuals in Slovenia. Interviews with two participants revealed moderate digital literacy but limited digital media literacy, particularly in critical media consumption. The participants use social media mainly for communication and information. The findings highlight a potential relationship between digital media literacy and usage frequency, underscoring the need for tailored digital literacy training for the deaf community.
