Abstract: The work proposes the construction of an innovative and interterdisciplinary curricular matrix for the Pedagogy course, taking as a reference the legislation and government documents that regulate the operation of the course. We seek to highlight the importance of the pedagogue’s role in school and non-school spaces, proposing a new curricular matrix for the Pedagogy Degree course in a private HEI that allows a critical and reflective worldview só that this professional can work in school spaces and non-school children. The research has a qualitative approach, as it aims to understand the meanings and meanings established in the course’s curricular matrices. As for its nature, it is applied research, as it proposes the construction of an innovative and interdisciplinary curricular matrix. Regarding the objective, the research had an exploratory nature, as it sought information about the curricular matrices of some higher institutions located in Rio de Janeiro, establishing a comparative framework between them. The procedure included a bibliographic survey and relevant documentation and legislation. The analysis of documents, matrices and theoretical framework led to the construction and applicability of a curricular matrix for a Degree in Pedagogy with an innovative and interdisciplinary vision.
