Abstract: New data on the tectonic stress field in the active fault running along the northern shore of Nagayev Bay have been obtained. It has been established that the stress field responsible for the formation of the fault fissure structure belongs to the shear type, but the presence of the normal fault component is also noted. The compression axis has a northeast orientation (azimuth 50°, dip angle 12°), while the extension axis is oriented to the northwest (azimuth 133°, dip angle 29°). Based on the obtained results, the kinematics of the Nagayev Bay fault can be defined as a strike-slip fault.
