Abstract: The article assesses the prospects for the development of digital technologies in the Russian banking system. Various areas of digitalization development in the banking system are considered, the introduction of new innovative products in the field of cashless payments, cross-border payments and the risks that arise when introducing new technologies are noted. New opportunities for the population, companies and the state from the introduction of the digital ruble are considered. The author considers and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the prospects for the development of digitalization of the banking system.
