Optimal allocation of water resources in a mining area in northern Shaanxi based on supply and demand forecasts

Abstract: With the development of industry and the acceleration of urbanization, water resources have gradually become a major strategic resource for national economic development and long-term social stability. It is of great significance to optimize the allocation of regional water resources to provide water resources for industry, agriculture and people’s life, and the environment in the region, so as to obtain the maximum social, economic, and environmental benefits, and to realize coordinated and sustainable development in the region. In this paper, by establishing a multi-objective optimization function and solving it with NSGA-II algorithm, we optimize the allocation of water resources in the mining area, including dredging water, to achieve sustainable development in the mining area.
