Abstract: Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) can efficiently convert various fuels into electricity, promising a cleaner energy future. However, durability issues like gas leak fault impede their commercialization, underscoring the need for advanced diagnostic and monitoring research. This paper introduces a residual model-based fault diagnosis approach to simulate and analyze the system response to three critical faults: air leakage, fuel gas leakage, and temperature loss in the stack. The results validate the effectiveness of the proposed diagnostic method through detailed simulation, confirming its capability to detect and assess these faults accurately.
