Abstract: In order to promote high-quality agricultural development in the new era, the primary focus should be on accelerating the green transformation of agriculture. The green transformation of agriculture is not only crucial for achieving high-quality agricultural development, but also serves as a significant component in driving the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development. At a micro level, the matter of farmers’ pesticide usage stands out as a critical factor in realizing the green transformation of agriculture. This issue is not only related to the quality of fresh fruits, but also impacts the interests of all relevant parties in the entire agricultural product supply chain and, more importantly, serves as the cornerstone for ensuring the quality and safety of fresh fruits. In the context of sequential game, this paper firstly discusses that the excessive pesticide application in production is the inevitable choice of rational farmers and finds out the influencing factors of farmers’ excessive pesticide application behavior. Then, a repeated evolutionary game model between farmers and regulatory authorities is further constructed, and the example simulation is carried out for analysis. The study results indicate that, although it is inevitable for farmers to excessively apply the pesticide, we can find through repeated evolutionary game that, the green transformation of rational drug use and production practices among farmers can be achieved through joint efforts of farmers, regulatory authorities and other subjects under the leading role of the government.
