Effects Of Trichoderma HarzianumAnd Eisenia FetidaInoculation On Organic Molecules During Paddy Straw Composting
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: A composting experiment was performed to determine the organic molecules like reducing sugars, total sugars, and soluble proteins. Five treatments were prepared for composting (1) T0 - Paddy straw (2) T1 - Paddy straw + cow dung (3) T2 - Paddy straw + cow dung + Eisenia fetida (4) T3 - Paddy straw + cow dung + Trichoderma harzianum (ITCC 6721) (5) T4 - Paddy straw + cow dung + Eisenia fetida + Trichoderma harzianum (ITCC 6721). The comparable effects of different treatments were evaluated at intervals of 0, 10, 20, 40, 60, and 90 days in terms of organic molecules concentration. The results revealed that organic molecules like reducing sugars, total sugars and soluble proteins increased in treatment T4 as the process of composting interval increased. This study revealed the degradation of paddy straw within 90 days with a promising potential of Trichoderma harzianum and Eisenia fetida in an eco-friendly way.
