Abstract: Habronemosis is one of the main helminthiasis that affect horses, and has a global distribution. The present study focuses on cutaneous habronemosis, also known as Summer Wound. The diagnosis of cutaneous habronemiasis consists of observing clinical signs and identifying the larvae in a skin scraping or biopsy of the lesion. Furthermore, it is possible to state that horses have particular characteristics when it comes to wound healing. However, integrative therapies have proven efficient in this process through their pharmacological properties such as larvicidal, antioxidant, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, fungicidal and antitumor activity. In this sense, the present work aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of integrative therapies in the wound healing process in horses.
